Aces head coach Becky Hammon and team president Nikki Fargas were courtside for Wilson’s big moment.
COLUMBIA, S.C. — Since being drafted by Las Vegas with the first pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft, A’ja Wilson has racked up a host of awards and honors.
The two WNBA titles with the Aces have been the highlight along with being named a three-time league MVP and the 2023 WNBA FInals MVP.
Her efforts to give back to the community have been noteworthy as the A’ja Wilson Foundation continues to make a difference in the lives of children struggling with dyslexia and bullying.
Having been such a positive force in Columbia and Las Vegas, it speaks volumes that Aces president Nikki Fargas and head coach Becky Hammond made the trip to support Wilson during her retirement ceremoy.
Hammon is no stranger to Columbia as the Aces played an exhibition game last May at the Colonial Life Arena.
