Q: While watching the 1990 and 1991 CART races, I noticed that Al Unser Jr would run a vent off the cockpit into a hose that went into his suit for cooling. Could this be an option today in IndyCar along with the helmet vent?

MARSHALL PRUETT: The new ducting atop the aeroscreen serves the purpose of cooling. While teams have regulations to follow, if a reasonable request is made, it could be considered. In the past, there were no restrictions on teams adding vents as desired.
Q: Aaron Telitz should be given an opportunity in IndyCar based on his past performances. What are your thoughts?

MP: Aaron Telitz’s history in open-wheel racing doesn’t exactly match the claims made. While he showed potential, there are other drivers vying for a spot in IndyCar who may be more deserving. His current performance in IMSA is commendable, and hopefully, he can secure a full-time seat in the WeatherTech Championship.
