The Chicago Sky and Atlanta Dream are both vying for their playoff lives as they prepare to face off on Tuesday night. Unfortunately, the Sky will be without two crucial players.
According to Marquee Sports Network’s Karli Bell, Kamilla Cardoso and Chennedy Carter are sidelined with injuries for the upcoming game against the Dream.
Angel Reese, another key player for Chicago, is also out for the remainder of the season due to a wrist injury. With a 13-25 record and only two games left in the regular season, the Sky, Dream, and Washington Mystics are in a tight race for the final WNBA postseason spot.
On the other hand, Atlanta is facing its own challenges with Aerial Powers and Cheyenne Parker-Tyrus ruled out for the season.
Despite the setbacks, who will come out on top in this late-season showdown?

Both Cardoso and Carter play integral roles in Chicago’s performance, with Carter showcasing consistent offensive output and Cardoso dominating on the boards. Without their top centers and key scorers, including the traded Marina Mabrey, the Sky will face a daunting task in generating points.

In a season marked by injuries, staying healthy can be the deciding factor in late-season matchups. While Atlanta is missing key players, they still have star contributors like Rhyne Howard and Tina Charles available.
If the Sky falls short of the playoffs, they can take pride in their young talent like Reese and Cardoso, coupled with the experience of veterans like Carter.
