Isabelle Harrison’s career took a turn on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, when she tore her ACL while playing for the Tennessee Vols.
“I still want to be there for my team,” Harrison stated. “This season is not over, and I know my teammates will use this as motivation to pursue the ultimate goal. I will continue to get healthy, and I appreciate all the wishes and support I’ve received during this time.”
After her injury, Harrison’s draft stock dropped, but she recovered and played for Phoenix in 2016 before moving to San Antonio in 2017.
Following stints with Dallas, Harrison signed as a free agent with Chicago in 2023 but missed the entire 2023 season due to another knee injury.
Struggling through her recovery post-surgery, Harrison also faced personal challenges, including the loss of her sister to lupus in 2017.
Playing in Athletes Unlimited to raise lupus awareness, Harrison returned to the WNBA court in 2024 after her latest injury setback.
Harrison embraced an expanded role with Chicago, filling in for injured teammates and making an impact on the court this season.
During her journey, Harrison found inspiration in her family, her resilience, and her appreciation for the game of basketball.
Now, with a renewed sense of gratitude and determination, Harrison continues to shine on the court and inspire others with her resilience.
