Kansas City Chiefs running Isiah Pacheco back looked primed for an explosive season in 2024 before breaking his fibula in Week 2. Since returning to the lineup, he’s taken a back seat to veteran Kareem Hunt both in the regular season and playoffs, rushing for just 310 yards and one touchdown in seven games. Despite the disappointing numbers, Pacheco said his comeback has been “phenomenal.”
“[I’m] just pleased and thankful for the training staff and everybody that’s been a part of the journey,” he said.
In a Super Bowl that could feature two offenses dedicated to establishing the run, he could be an X factor as K.C. tries to keep up with Saquon Barkley against one of the NFL’s stingiest defenses.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Pacheco is playing in his third Super Bowl in as many seasons, with his best effort coming his rookie year against the Philadelphia Eagles two years ago – rushing for 76 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.
