WACO, Texas (KWTX) – On October 18th, 1990, Baylor legend and WNBA all-star Brittney Griner was born in Houston.
Griner piled up nearly every accolade imaginable during her time in the green and gold.
In 2012, she brought home a national championship for the Bears.
The three-time Olympic gold medalist also won a WNBA championship in 2014.
In 2022, Griner was involved in a prisoner swap between the United States and Russia, after she was arrested by Russian authorities for possession of cannabis oil she was prescribed in the U.S.
