Sports media and commerce company Togethxr is teaming up with Dear Media — a multiplatform media company focused on sharing women’s voices and stories — for a slate of women’s sports programming, beginning with “Unsupervised” on July 24.
The show reunites former WNBA teammates Sydney Colson and Theresa Plaisance. The duo formerly hosted the popular “Syd + TP Show,” which aired on the Maximum Effort FAST channel before the network shut down in January.
“Unsupervised” is set to be the first in a series of women’s sports shows rolling out this year from the collaboration, with more details to be announced. They’ll join Dear Media’s slate of 90 podcasts, with “Unsupervised” available on the Togethxr YouTube channel.
The parties negotiated the deal internally. Colson and Plaisance are represented by LIFT Sports Management.
Togethxr has been busy ahead of Indianapolis’ WNBA All-Star Game this weekend, earlier this week announcing a content partnership with Snapchat that brought nine athletes on board as part of a content accelerator program. The company will also release a new version of its lucrative “Everyone Watches Women’s Sports” shirt on Friday — this time in orange, reading “Everyone Watches the WNBA.”
