For the first time since she joined the Indiana Fever, former Las Vegas Aces star Sydney Colson received an emotional response as she returned to Sin City. On Sunday, the Aces turned it on in the fourth quarter to secure a comeback victory against Colson and the Fever.
During her time in Vegas, Colson won two WNBA titles (in 2022 and 2023). She got to watch a tribute video the Aces put together in her honor before the game as her current and former teammates gathered around to watch her best moments.

“They traded away the energy,” one fan claimed. Colson was known for her energy and leadership with the Aces, including a viral moment from the 2023 Finals, where she mocked New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu after a Las Vegas victory.
“It was just the disrespect that was brewing within me, the feeling of disrespect, we said don’t worry about it. W got something,” Colson explained to a reporter following the incident.

Before the Aces introduced the package they had made for their former player, Colson was grinning as she reconnected with former teammates Jackie Young and Kierstan Bell. All three were teammates during their championship run.
“I miss them all together. Why they break up the family?” one fan wrote in response to the moment.
Ultimately, Colson’s return was unsuccessful. The Fever suffered an 89-81 loss to Vegas. The Indiana guard played 15 minutes and did not record a point, although the memory from Sunday will surely live on.
