CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harmoni Turner of Harvard women’s basketball was announced as a finalist for the 2025 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Award, Her Hoop Stats released today. As Turner becomes the fourth ever finalist from the Ivy League, the conference has now provided the most finalists in the award’s history, surpassing the Summit League and WCC.
In her senior season, Turner is averaging a career-high 21.1 points while also adding 5.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.9 steals to lead the Crimson in each statistical category. According to Opta StatsPass, Turner is one of only two Division I players averaging 21.1 points with at least 140 rebounds and 73 steals.
Turner has been recognized in every step of the award process, having been named to the preseason and midseason watch list and as one of the ten semifinalists. The Crimson guard joins Katie Dinnebier (Drake), Megan McConnell (Duquesne), Yvonne Ejim (Gonzaga), and Laura Ziegler (Saint Joseph’s) as this year’s finalists. The winner will be named on April 2.
