ONE Championship has announced two exciting matchups for ONE Fight Night 25, taking place on Friday, October 4 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The event will feature two World Championship clashes as its main attractions.
Headlining the event will be a rematch between lightweight kickboxers Alexis Nicolas and Regian Eersel. In their previous encounter at ONE Fight Night 21, Nicolas emerged victorious with a unanimous decision win to claim the ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title. Now, Eersel has the chance to reclaim the gold in an immediate rematch.
Eersel, previously dominant at lightweight, had conquered two sports and defeated all opponents until Nicolas dethroned him. Now, Eersel looks to prove that his loss was not a fluke.
In the co-main event, atomweights Denice Zamboanga and Alyona Rassohyna will compete for the ONE Interim Atomweight MMA World Championship. With the reigning champion, Stamp Fairtex, sidelined due to injury, both fighters aim for a significant victory to set up a unification bout once Fairtex is healthy again.
Zamboanga holds the #1 ranking in the division, while Rassohyna has a win over Stamp and a close split decision loss in their rematch. This matchup will determine the next contender for Stamp and keep the division active in her absence.
ONE Fight Night 25 will be broadcast live on Prime Video on October 4 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The event is free for Amazon Prime subscribers in the U.S. and Canada.
