With Tyson Fury’s highly anticipated rematch against Oleksandr Usyk quickly approaching, Fury is confident that changes in his preparation will lead to a different outcome this time.
‘The Gypsy King’ faced his first career defeat in their previous encounter, where judges sided with Usyk in a close split decision. Now, nearly two years later, both fighters are gearing up to face each other again in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this weekend.
Fury expressed his belief that the rematch will have a different result and emphasized that he intends to finish the fight without the need for judges.
“I plan to knock him out,” said Fury. “That’s the goal that Sugar Hill and I are working towards.”
“Although I performed well last time, I fell short. It was a close fight. This time will be different. I’ve evolved as a person and as a fighter.”
“I was at 40% last time. This time, I’m giving it my all at 110%.”
As the fight draws near, Fury disclosed a significant detail about his physical condition heading into the bout.
“I’m the heaviest I’ve been in years,” Fury revealed. “I weigh around 295 pounds. I’ve been putting in the work to show some abs, you know?”

The two fighters have taken contrasting approaches in their preparations for the rematch.
In their previous fight in May, Fury weighed over 30 pounds less than he currently does. He weighed in at 262 pounds, while Usyk has also significantly altered his weight leading up to the fight.
Usyk revealed that he now weighs 222 pounds, a considerable increase from his weight when he defeated Fury last year.
The highly anticipated rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury 2 is set to take place on December 21 at the Kingdom Arena.
