UFC 315 is upon us. Saturday night, seven days removed from Dana White’s promotion’s first trip to Iowa in close to a quarter of a century, the schedule for the month of May continues with the second of three straight cards to begin the year’s fifth month.
This week, on the eve of the Mother’s Day holiday inside the United States of America, the UFC heads up north to the Canadian province of Quebec for the fifth pay-per-view show of 2025. Montreal’s Bell Centre, the home ice of the NHL’s Montreal Canadiens, serves as the setting for this week’s card.
Live coverage of UFC 315 begins Saturday evening at 6:30 pm ET/ 3:30 pm PT with the early prelims. Stateside, this phase of the card will be seen on UFC Fight Pass and ESPN+. Late prelims follow at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT on ESPN and ESPN+.
The five-fight main card for UFC 315 caps the night at 10 pm ET/ 7 pm PT on ESPN+ pay-per-view. All told, barring any postponements on the bout order between now and the weekend, the final version of Saturday’s card will feature a total of 12 fights from the world’s No. 1 MMA promotion, highlighted by a championship doubleheader.
UFC 315 Featured Prelim: Mike Malott vs. Charles Radtke
At the top of the bill for the undercard is a welterweight tilt matching Mike Malott (11-2-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) and Charles Radtke (10-4 MMA, 3-1 UFC) in a USA vs. Canada tilt. Malott enters UFC 315 this weekend having posted a record of 4-1 in his last five MMA fights.
Back in November, he returned to the win column and scored a unanimous decision victory over Trevin Giles (16-7 MMA, 7-7 UFC) after three rounds of action in Edmonton, AL. This was the latter’s third loss in succession dating back to July of 2023.
Both Malott and Radtke have nearly equal footing when it comes to preparation time ahead of this card, with Malott having one extra week between contests. How much of a factor will this be for the former’s gameplan?
In the other corner, Charles Radtke has gone 4-1 himself over the course of the last five fights. A veteran of CFFC, he also got his hand raised in victory last November, besting Matthew Semelsberger (11-8 MMA, 5-6 UFC) with a first-round knockout by way of punches in just 51 seconds’ time.
This finish made Radtke’s wallet just a little heavier by night’s end, as he scored the $50,000 (USD) Performance of the Night Award. Given that Charles Radtke finished his last opponent inside the first minute of the bout, could a similar effort be in the offing on Saturday at UFC 315?
UFC 315 Co-Featured Prelim: No. 7 Contender Jessica Andrade vs. No. 9 Contender Jasmine Jasudavicius
Immediately before the Malott vs. Radtke tilt, the co-featured prelim of UFC 315 sees action taking place in the women’s flyweight division between No. 7 contender Jessica Andrade (26-13 MMA, 17-11 UFC) and No. 9 contender Jasmine Jasudavicius (13-3 MMA, 7-2 UFC). Andrade, who will be making her 40th career appearance in the sport on Saturday night, enters the weekend with a 2-3 record in her last five fights.
Late last summer, inside the UFC Apex in Enterprise, NV, she dropped a unanimous decision to Natalia Silva (18-5-1 MMA, 6-0 UFC) after three rounds of action. Silva will also be appearing at UFC 315 this Saturday for a fight versus Alexa Grasso (16-4-1 MMA, 8-4-1 UFC).
Andrade has been inactive for the last eight months. How much ring rust does she have going into UFC 315?
Meanwhile, Jasmine Jasudavicius faces a quick turnaround ahead of Saturday’s fight. She’ll come in with a record of 4-1 in her last five bouts and has won four straight.
Three months ago, she trekked to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to face off against Mayra Bueno Silva (10-5-1, 1 NC MMA, 5-5-1, 1 NC UFC), getting her hand raised by way of unanimous decision and giving the latter her third loss in a row. This is a “home game” for Jasudavicius, much like Mike Malott’s fight against Charles Radtke is for the former on Saturday.
Only time will tell if she’s able to get another win for her country in UFC 315.
UFC 315: Modestas Bukauskas vs. Ion Cutelaba
Also on the UFC 315 prelims, you’ll be seeing a clash at light heavyweight pairing Modestas Bukauskas (17-6 MMA, 5-4 UFC) with Ion Cutelaba (19-10-1, 1 NC MMA, 8-9-1 UFC) in the former’s 10th UFC fight. Bukauskas will be making the walk on Saturday night having posted a mark of 4-1 in his last five fights.
At present, he’s won two fights in a row, a streak that was extended most recently by way of first-round knockout (combination punches) against Raffael Cerqueira (11-2 MMA, 0-2 UFC) in Seattle on Feb. 22. Modestas Bukauskas has been on an upswing since returning to the UFC in February of 2023. Like Jasmine Jasudavicius, Bukauskas also had a quick break in-between fights.
By the time Saturday night arrives, only 77 days will have elapsed from his contest in the Pacific Northwest to his fight in Quebec in UFC 315. Across the way, Ion Cutelaba is also entering UFC 315 having fought on the Seattle card on Feb. 22.
That night, he bested Ibo Aslan (14-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) with a first-round submission via arm-triangle choke from Climate Pledge Arena. With both men having the same amount of days off, which fighter will emerge as the victor?
