UFC London weigh-ins: Evloev and Murphy on point, one fight canned due to scale fail

The UFC London main event will go on as advertised, but one fight was scrapped due to a significant whiff on the scale.

Movsar Evloev tipped the scales at 146 pounds, while Lerone Murphy hit the 145-pound mark. This makes their featherweight headliner scheduled for The O2 Arena official.

It’s the same case with the co-main event, which will also feature featherweight action. Michael Aswell and Luke Riley had a successful weigh-in day. Aswell clocked in at 145 pounds, while Riley was one pound heavier than his opponent on Friday morning.

Michael Page’s welterweight scrap against Sam Patterson is also set with “MVP” weighing in at 171 pounds. Patterson reached the 170-pound target.

There ended up being two weigh-in fails and one of them led to a fight cancellation. Luana Carolina was scheduled to clash with Melissa Mullins in a women’s bantamweight tilt. Mullins did her job, clocking in at 136 pounds. Carolina was well over the bantamweight limit at 144 pounds, and the fight was cancelled.

Ravena Oliveira failed to reach the strawweight limit for her bout with Shanelle Dyer, who tipped the scales at 116 pounds. Oliveira was just a half pound over, so the bout will continue. Oliveira is being fined a percentage of her fight purse.
