UFC Vegas 103 went down last night (Sat., March 1, 2025) inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, which saw Manel Kape defeat Asu Almabayev via technical knockout (TKO) in the third round (see it again here). In the co-main event of the evening, Cody Brundage stopped Julian Marquez — also via TKO — with just 15 seconds remaining in the first round.
Biggest Winner: Manel Kape

Eye rakes aside, Kape put on one of the best performances of his career against Almabayev, ultimately putting the finishing touches in his masterpiece in round three. With the win, Kape improves to 6-1 in his last seven fights, which should be good enough to break him into the Top 5. Furthermore, the victory could have very well set him up for his first-ever UFC title shot. That, or the promotion could decide to re-book him against No. 1 contender, Brandon Royval. Nevertheless, “Starboy” is in a pretty good position after last night.
Runner (s) Up: Sam Patterson and Mario Pinto

Most weren’t giving Patterson a shot against Danny Barlow if the fight played out on the feet, but “The Future” silenced all doubters by stopping “Left Hand To God” in the opening frame with a vicious onslaught of ground-and-pound that was set up by a beautiful right hand. Patterson improves to 3-1 inside the Octagon after dropping his UFC debut, winning three in a row while handing Barlow his first-ever defeat after starting off his career at 9-0. As for Pinto, he kicked off his UFC campaign in spectacular fashion, knocking out Austen Lane in round two with a devastating right hand that would have slept anyone (see it again here). In the process he improves to 10-0 as a pro. To make it even sweeter, Patterson and Pinto both went home with an extra $50,000 thanks to a post-fight bonus award.

Biggest Loser (s): Andrea Lee and Julian Marquez
Coming into the event, Lee was our pick for the fighter who needed a win the most since she was coming in on a five-fight losing streak. But things only got worse for “KGB,” who went home with her sixth straight loss after she was outclassed by JJ Aldrich for 15 minutes. Lee simply didn’t do enough whatsoever to impress any of the judges, and now she finds herself in danger of getting cut after dropping to 2-8 in her last 10 fights inside the Octagon. Joining Lee on the list is Marquez, who was stopped by Cody Brundage with 15 seconds remaining in the opening round. With the defeat, his losing streak extends to four straight, with his last win coming against Sam Alvey four years ago. Like Lee, Marquez could very well be on the chopping block.
