Terrell Davis, a two-time Super Bowl champion, expressed feeling “humiliated” after being handcuffed and removed from a United Airlines flight over the weekend. Davis, who played for the Denver Broncos throughout his career, shared on Instagram that the incident occurred when he tried to get a flight attendant’s attention for a cup of ice for his son.
Despite tapping the attendant’s arm lightly, the situation escalated when the attendant accused Davis of hitting him. Davis, a Pro Football Hall of Fame member, was left confused and embarrassed by the accusation. Law enforcement later removed him from the flight once it landed in Orange County, California.
United Airlines issued an apology and suspended the flight attendant while investigating the incident. The FBI confirmed that the individual involved was cooperative and later released. Davis demanded a thorough investigation into the flight attendant’s actions.
Davis, known for his successful career with the Broncos and significant achievements in the NFL, including rushing for over 2,000 yards in a season, remains determined to seek justice in this matter alongside his attorney.
