The University of Mount Olive is seeking a Graduate Assistant Coach for Men’s and Women’s Tennis. This is a 10-month position beginning August 1, with the opportunity for annual renewal while enrolled in the graduate program.
The Graduate Assistant Coach reports directly to the Head Tennis Coach and assists with all aspects of the men’s and women’s tennis programs in accordance with NCAA, Conference Carolinas, and University of Mount Olive regulations. The position plays an important role insupporting the competitive, academic, and developmental goals of the tennis programs.
Responsibilities
Assist with daily practices, match preparation, and player development
Support recruiting efforts, including communication with prospective student-athletes
Assist with team travel, scheduling, and match-day operations
Support administrative and operational aspects of the tennis programs
Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional rules
Compensation & Benefits
Full tuition covered for the University of Mount Olive graduate program
On-campus housing provided
Graduate assistant is responsible for fees and books
The graduate program is designed to be completed over two years. Continued appointment as a Graduate Assistant is contingent upon maintaining eligibility and good standing in the graduate program and is evaluated after each semester.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
Tennis playing and/or coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level
Must apply to and be accepted into the University of Mount Olive MBA graduate program
Must be a U.S. citizen, as the MBA program is delivered exclusively online
