Unrivaled, the upcoming 3-on-3 women’s basketball league, welcomed its 30th player for its inaugural season on Thursday, with more signings to come.
The league is set to have 36 players (not 30) – six teams of six – for its first season, as announced by co-founder Napheesa Collier, with Aliyah Boston of the Indiana Fever revealed as the 30th signing.
“We’re able to achieve this milestone because we exceeded our financial projections, allowing us to offer more players opportunities in Unrivaled,” said Collier, who also plays for the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx, in a social media video.

“This is an exciting time for women’s sports, and we are grateful for all the support from the community,” she added.
Collier and New York Liberty’s Breanna Stewart founded the league to provide players with an alternative to playing overseas during the WNBA offseason. The season will span eight weeks during the WNBA break, and players joining Unrivaled will receive equity in the league.
Boston, aged 22, was the top pick in the 2023 WNBA draft and the Rookie of the Year in the same season. Over two WNBA seasons, she has been a consistent starter for Indiana, averaging 14.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.2 blocks, and 1.1 steals per game.
Other notable players who have signed with Unrivaled include Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky, Jewell Loyd of the Seattle Storm, and Arike Ogunbowale of the Dallas Wings.
Unrivaled is also planning to make a significant offer to Fever star Caitlin Clark, reportedly exceeding $1 million per season, according to Front Office Sports.
“We will always have a spot for Caitlin Clark on our roster,” said Unrivaled president Alex Bazzell to Sportico. “We are not pressuring her; she will know we have a spot waiting for her when she’s ready.”
