Team USA bounced back from their WNBA All-Star Game defeat with a decisive win over Germany, scoring 84-57 at the USA Basketball Showcase in London.
A’ja Wilson led the team with 19 points and 14 rebounds, followed by Breanna Stewart’s 15 points. Wilson’s performance now ties her with Team WNBA All-Star coach Cheryl Miller for the highest points per game average in team history.
Team USA raises their game
Team USA showed improved chemistry in London, with Napheesa Collier returning to the lineup after an injury. Quality performances off the bench from players like Jewell Loyd, Alyssa Thomas, and Jackie Young also contributed to the team’s success.
Despite missing Brittney Griner due to load management, USA showcased a strong performance while Germany’s Satou Sabally returned to the court as they prepare for the Olympics in Paris.

“It’s a tune-up game,” said Stewart. “We don’t want to peak too soon.”
