The United States women’s basketball national team has dominated the Olympics for two decades.

The average age of the United States women’s national team is 30.1 years old — signaling a good blend of established, decorated veterans and rising stars who can maintain the country’s sustained success on the Olympic stage for years to come.
Taurasi is the lone 40-year-old on the roster, coming in as the oldest player in U.S. Olympic women’s basketball history at 42.
Four 30-year-olds and seven 20-year-olds round out the team, with Sabrina Ionescu and Jackie Young representing the youngest players on the team at 26.
