The R6 Finals at EWC 2024 have found their first finalist! After starting with 16 teams, only 8 made it to the quarterfinals, and now only 2 teams remain. The first team to secure their spot in the final round of Rainbow 6 is W7M Esports.
R6 Finals at EWC Competing for $750,000
Each team in the playoffs has already made a mark in history. Quarterfinalists received 60 Club points, increasing to 275 for 3rd and 4th place. The winners will walk away with the majority of the $2 million prize pool, totaling three quarters of a million dollars.
The Grand Finals will be a Best of 5 Match, the only one at EWC this year for Rainbow 6, with the winners also receiving 1,000 Club points.
W7M had an impressive journey, starting as the 5th seed. They defeated Bleed and caused an upset by beating Team Liquid to qualify for the Best of 5.
They now await the winner of Team BDS and Furia, who will play later on.
The Grand Finals are scheduled for Sunday, one hour later than the Quarter and Semi Finals.
Top Contenders for Esports World Cup Victory
W7M have been causing upsets since reaching the top cut, showing great form from the group stages. They are hungry for a rematch against Team BDS after being knocked into the lower bracket in Groups.
They have been in top form, defeating Luminosity, Bleed, and Team Liquid without dropping a map on their way to the Grand Final stage. Their opponents have also been performing well to reach this stage.
Both Furia and Team BDS had flawless group stage runs but faced tough competitions in the quarterfinals to reach the Semis. Team BDS will be looking to prove that their Group Stage success was no fluke, while Furia, the former number 1s, have a point to prove after some disappointing LAN performances.
Even after the Rainbow 6 finals, there are still more EWC events to come.
