Golden State is currently facing challenges that Stephen Curry is not happy with, prompting him and his fellow teammates to hold a player-only meeting before the Warriors’ Christmas Day Game against the Lakers.
Curry himself seemed motivated by the discussion, as he scored a season-high of 38 points on Christmas Day, although it was not enough to secure a win.
The team has struggled in recent games, losing 11 out of their last 14 matches, leading to the need for the meeting.
Curry stated, “It is an important moment in which our season can take a turn. In our recent games, it has been difficult to find momentum or consistency. We need to maintain our belief that we have the ability to overcome this rough patch, as the league is unforgiving.”
Head coach Steve Kerr also acknowledged the team’s low morale during this challenging period.
“We are feeling down, disappointed, and lacking confidence. We had a positive atmosphere earlier in the season, but now we are going through a tough time. Nevertheless, I have faith in our players and believe we can turn things around,” Kerr mentioned.
Kerr, Curry, and Green have expressed their confidence in the team’s potential to overcome this slump and return to winning ways.
Curry expressed his optimism, saying, “I still believe we can find a way to succeed. We are a desperate team trying to find solutions. Despite our recent record, we are determined to make things right. We need to maintain this mindset until we see improvements.”
