The trade sweepstakes for Utah Jazz star Lauri Markkanen has caught the attention of the Warriors, Kings, and San Antonio Spurs.
According to The Athletic’s Tony Jones, all three NBA teams have significant offers on the table for Markkanen, as revealed during an interview on Sactown Sports 1140.
Markkanen is a sought-after forward, and any trade offer for him would need to be substantial given his performance in the 2023-24 season where he averaged 23.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game.
The Warriors are reportedly the aggressors in the trade discussions for Markkanen, as reported by TNT’s Chris Haynes. Both the Warriors and Kings have also shown interest in Brandon Ingram from the New Orleans Pelicans.
While the Warriors have made some moves in free agency, including signing De’Anthony Melton, Kyle Anderson, and pursuing Buddy Hield, the Kings have acquired talent in the draft and through trades.
Both teams are looking to make a splash after missing the playoffs last season.
