The Golden State Warriors are holding onto Brandin Podziemski and are not considering trading him for Lauri Markkanen, as reported by Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
Despite trade rumors, the Warriors have not included Podziemski or Jonathan Kuminga in any deals involving Markkanen. Instead, their trade proposals have included Moses Moody and future draft picks.
Markkanen will be able to renegotiate his contract starting on Tuesday.
If Markkanen signs an extension, he would not be eligible to be traded for six months, meaning he would not be available for trade during the 2024-25 season if an extension is signed starting on Wednesday.
