Kate Martin and the Golden State Valkyries will try to keep their postseason journey alive in the WNBA playoffs on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at home against the Minnesota Lynx.
The Lynx lead the series 1-0 after a 101-72 win on Sunday. The first round of the WNBA playoffs is a best-of-three format, during which each team is guaranteed at least one home game, so Wednesday is an elimination game for Golden State.
Martin, a former Iowa women’s basketball star, is in her second WNBA season after spending the first year of her pro career with the Las Vegas Aces. She was selected by the Valkyries in the WNBA expansion draft in December.
