Sean Brady wrapped up 2024 with a submission victory in the world of grappling, followed by a message to former UFC champion Leon Edwards on the microphone.
The welterweight with a record of 19-1 headlined the Fury Pro Grappling event on Saturday at 2300 Arena, previously known as the ECW Arena, in his hometown of Philadelphia. He faced Richie Martinez and delivered an impressive performance, finishing with a mounted guillotine to force the tap.

Brady has only fought twice in the octagon since his loss to current champion Belal Muhammad at UFC 280 in October 2022. The 32-year-old made a strong comeback with a submission victory over Kelvin Gastelum at UFC Austin in December 2023, followed by a dominant performance against Gilbert Burns in his first UFC main event at UFC Vegas 97 in September, where he received a unanimous decision victory.
Following his grappling triumph over the weekend, Brady savored the moment before calling out Edwards for the UFC’s upcoming event in London in March.
“I want to go to London and I want to fight Leon in his backyard on March 22,” Brady stated. “Hopefully the UFC can make it happen, but we’ll have to wait and see.”
