With Caitlin Clark sidelined for two weeks due to her left quad strain, the Indiana Fever are preparing for a critical adjustment ahead of their matchups. Clark’s absence leaves a void, but head coach Stephanie White is ready and unveiled the Fever’s revised starting lineup on Tuesday.
Thanks to offseason moves, the Fever built substantial depth around rising stars Clark and Aliyah Boston. With their lead guard out, the rest of the roster, led by the experienced White, aims to replicate her impact.
During the Fever’s media appearance, White revealed the person stepping into Clark’s shoes: veteran Sydney Colson. She also expects Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull to have more minutes on the court.
“Yeah, we are going to start Syd at the point tomorrow and give that a look. Sophie’s gonna get a heavy dose of it as well. The other thing we love is what Sophie and or Lexi, whichever one brings us from the bench and having that spark, having that punch, so we are going to look at Syd in that starting lineup to start,” White said via Chloe Peterson’s report.
