The Seattle Seahawks will face the Detroit Lions in their Week 4 game on Monday. Depending on the outcome, Seattle could either maintain a two-game lead in the NFC West or have just a one-game advantage over the San Francisco 49ers.
The 49ers ended their two-game losing streak with a 30-13 victory over the New England Patriots. George Kittle and Jordan Mason scored touchdowns, while Fred Warner intercepted a pass for a touchdown. Despite falling behind 20-0, the Patriots made a decent effort to stay in the game.
San Francisco was the lone NFC West team to secure a victory on Sunday. The Los Angeles Rams struggled in the red zone against the Chicago Bears, with quarterback Caleb Williams and running back D’Andre Swift making key plays in the Bears’ 24-18 win. Darrell Taylor’s pressure on Matthew Stafford led to a game-sealing interception for the Bears.
The Arizona Cardinals defense was unable to contain Washington Commanders rookie Jayden Daniels, who had a stellar performance with both passing and rushing touchdowns. Daniels led Washington to a 42-14 victory over the Cardinals, who have struggled in their recent home games.
With the Rams and Cardinals facing challenges, the Seahawks and 49ers appear to be the frontrunners in the NFC West division.
