Every team on the Formula 1 grid changed their livery at least once during the 2025 season.

But who produced the best design – and who would have been better off not bothering?

Give your verdict on the many different looks teams revealed during 2025 below.

McLaren: Monaco GP

McLaren’s first special livery of the 2025 season was based on its M7A Formula 1 car.

McLaren: British GP

For its home race McLaren produced the latest version of its chrome livery.

More than half the grid changed their liveries for F1’s visit to the Circuit of the Americas. McLaren produced this one-off design to highlight sponsor Gooogle.

For the final race of the season McLaren made a minor colourful tweak to its regular design.

Ferrari: Miami GP

Marking one year since its tie-up with title sponsor HP, Ferrari blended more of its white and blue colours into its paintwork for the Miami Grand Prix.

For its second home race of the season at Monza, Ferrari marked 50 years since Niki Lauda’s first world championship victory with the team by reviving the livery which appeared on his 312T.

Red Bull: Japanese GP

Red Bull – who abandoned their plans to change liveries at two rounds last year – made a single change of colour scheme for the home race of its power unit supplier Honda, celebrating their successful collaboration which yielded two constructors’ championships and four drivers’ titles for Max Verstappen.

Mercedes added a splash of orange to their car at the British Grand Prix to match a new concept car, itself based on a design from the sixties.

Aston Martin: United States GP

Among the many special liveries for the United States Grand Prix was this “science-inspired” design by Aston Martin.

Alpine: United States, Brazilian and Mexican GPs

Alpine incorporated a bright yellow section to its cars late in the season, highlighting Franco Colapinto’s sponsor.

For the final three rounds of the season Alpine produced the latest iteration of its familiar pink colour scheme.

Haas: Japanese GP

Haas revealed this design inspired by cherry blossom for the Japanese Grand Prix, reflecting its increasingly close relationship with Toyota.

Formula 1’s newest team – at least until next year – commemorated its 200th grand prix at the Canadian round this year by reviving its original livery.

Haas made a final livery change for its home race at the Circuit of the Americas, where it added stars to its usual design.

Racing Bulls: Japanese GP

Racing Bulls made several design changes during the season. This one for the Japanese Grand Prix was one of its more subtle alterations.

For the Miami Grand Prix Racing Bulls chose a much more striking change, switching to a largely pink colour scheme.

Racing Bulls produced its final livery change for the Las Vegas Grand Prix with this striking ‘holographic’ design.

Williams made a modest livery change for its home race at Silverstone, adding neat stripes to the side of its nose.

Later in the year Williams opted for some more drastic livery changes. This design for the United States Grand Prix was a throwback to its 2002 colour scheme.

In its final season under its current identity, Sauber produced three livery variations, beginning with this revisions at the Miami Grand Prix.

Another tweak to its usual design came in Spain.
