Angel Reese faced criticism from WNBA fans when she complained about her team, Rose BC, having fewer followers. Alongside other notable players like Chelsea Gray, Brittney Sykes, Kahleah Copper, Azurá Stevens, and Lexie Hull, Reese is a key player in the team.
Reese took to X (formerly Twitter) to express her disappointment about the team’s follower count, prompting some fans to mock her.
“I’m hearing that RoseBC don’t have the most followers on IG? Yall not real fans frl😭 GO FOLLOW NOW!”
One fan mentioned Caitlin Clark as having more followers, prompting more discussion among fans.
“Which team is CC on? That one probably has the most I bet”
Some fans questioned Reese’s demand for followers, with one criticizing her GPA jokingly.
“You’re demanding people to follow someone now? You’re high key a 0-10.”
“Don’t have? 1.8 GPA!”
Despite the criticism, there were also fans who praised Angel Reese for her performance in the Rose BC gear. Fans will have the chance to see her in action on January 17.
Angel Reese expressed interest in being teammates with Allisha Gray in the Unrivaled tournament
Angel Reese had previously mentioned her desire to team up with Allisha Gray for the Unrivaled tournament. In response to one of Gray’s posts, Reese proposed the idea of being teammates.

Both Reese and Gray are set to participate in the inaugural season of the tournament organized by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier. Gray will play for the Lunar Owls alongside Skylar Diggins-Smith, Napheesa Collier, Natasha Cloud, and Shakira Austin.
Angel Reese and Gray previously played together in the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game, where they helped Team WNBA defeat Team USA. Gray seems to have left a positive impression on Reese. Caitlin Clark, however, will not be part of the tournament.
