Italian former racing driver and broadcaster, Ivan Capelli, who competed in Formula One from 1985 to 1993, spoke about Ferrari’s 2025 line-up, featuring Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.
Ivan Capelli’s commentsHere’s what the former Formula 1 driver had to say: “It’s certainly an interesting pairing; perhaps Charles Leclerc will be the man for qualifying, and Hamilton the one for races.” – he pointed out – “Hamilton is undoubtedly arriving with the desire to find new energy to, in a sense, embark on a new youth. He will be very enthusiastic but will also understand what it truly means to wear Red, something you can’t fully grasp until you put on that suit.”
“This could probably be the most balanced pairing, and Charles Leclerc may take a further step in his growth, having Lewis Hamilton alongside him with all his experience,” Ivan Capelli concluded.
Thus, the Sky commentator and former Scuderia Ferrari F1 driver did not deliver a definitive verdict on who will dominate, though he hinted at Lewis Hamilton’s superiority in races due to his experience.
