After the month-long Olympic Break, the WNBA is returning to action!
With the regular season resuming, it’s time for another edition of our Winsidr Power Rankings. Our staff has gathered to update the rankings of all 12 teams in the WNBA.
The race for the postseason and the best seed is getting intense with just a month left in the regular season. The New York Liberty has already secured a playoff spot, leaving the other 11 teams to fight for the remaining seven spots in the playoffs.
As we gear up for the final stretch of the year, let’s dive into our latest Winsidr Power Rankings.
Biggest Increase – Connecticut Sun, Indiana Fever, Dallas Wings, Los Angeles Sparks (+1)
Four teams have shown the largest improvement in our rankings, with the Connecticut Sun, Indiana Fever, Dallas Wings, and Los Angeles Sparks all moving up one spot.
Connecticut has had a mixed stretch coming out of the break, splitting their road games and now looking to perform well in upcoming games at home. Meanwhile, Indiana is benefiting from the Olympic Break, winning both games and climbing closer to a higher seed.
Dallas and Los Angeles, though struggling recently, have shown promising signs of improvement. With key players returning and positive performances, there is hope for these teams to finish the season strong.
Biggest Decrease – Washington Mystics (-2)
The Washington Mystics have experienced the largest drop in our Power Rankings, currently sitting at the bottom of the standings with a four-game losing streak.
Injuries have plagued Washington this season, impacting their performance. With key players back in action, the Mystics are looking to elevate their game and climb the standings, despite facing a tough schedule ahead.
Team to Watch – Indiana Fever
Keep an eye on the Indiana Fever in the upcoming weeks and the final stretch of the regular season. With impressive wins post-Olympic Break and a favorable schedule, the Fever are poised to make a playoff run.
