At the end of the game, Carrington walked toward Sabally as the Mercury star waved her off. Carrington then walked up to the Mercury players, who were huddled together on the court. She said something to Sabally, and players from each team tried to get in the middle of them.
One player who tried to get in the middle of everything was Alyssa Thomas, who is Sabally’s current teammate and Carrington’s former teammate when they were on the Connecticut Sun last season.
