Caitlin Clark was forced to sit out again on Saturday night for the Indiana Fever as she continues to nurse a lingering groin injury. This was her fifth straight contest on the sidelines as the Fever hosted the Los Angeles Sparks at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Clark’s absence only meant that head coach Stephanie White would need to field a makeshift backcourt again to collectively fill the massive void left by the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year.
One player whom White has turned to lately is veteran guard Sydney Colson, who, for her part, showcased her incredible passing skills on Saturday night against the Sparks.
Colson dished out a full-court pass to teammate Natasha Howard, who finished the play with a deuce to give Indiana a 58-52 lead at the midway point of the third quarter.
Colson’s pass was so good that the WNBA just had to react.
“FULL COURT DIME BY SYD COLSON ➡️ NATASHA HOWARD 🤯” the league posted on X.

Colson’s pinpoint dish blew away the WNBA, and the fact that the league added a mind-blown emoji to its post is a testament to this notion.
Colson is no star, but the 35-year-old has been a key player off the bench for the Fever, especially with Clark out of commission. She finished the game with six points and five assists in 15 minutes of action against L.A.

Clark should be back in the lineup soon, but this does not take away from the fact that she will need a formidable supporting cast around her if the Fever are serious about challenging for the championship this season.
