In Sunday’s 2025 WNBA Draft Lottery, the Chicago Sky won the No. 3 pick in April’s WNBA Draft. They also have the No. 10 pick, acquired through a trade with the Connecticut Sun during the 2024 season.
General manager Jeff Pagliocca expressed excitement about the upcoming draft opportunities for the franchise:
We are thrilled to have secured another top-four draft pick, in addition to our No. 10 pick, to enhance our roster and build a competitive team. With the expanding talent pool in the draft, we are eager to add exceptional new stars to the Chicago Sky during the draft night in April.
I’d say the #3 pick turned out pretty well for CHI last year. Let’s ride!

Following the appointment of Tyler Marsh as the new head coach, the Sky are aiming to enhance their shooting performance. With Paige Beuckers from UConn expected to be selected by the Dallas Wings as the No. 1 pick, the Sky are focusing on acquiring shooters, as well as players with height and length. Pagliocca emphasized:
Our primary focus will be on shooting. Positional size is always a consideration. If we can find a point guard over 6 feet tall, that would be ideal. For a wing player, we would aim for a height between 6-foot-1 and 6-foot-3 in an ideal scenario. With that kind of length, players have more versatility in making plays inside the paint, seeing over defenses to create opportunities for teammates, and taking shots against smaller guards or matchups.
Some potential candidates for the No. 3 pick include USC forward Kiki Iriafen, UConn guard Azzi Fudd, and Notre Dame point guard Olivia Miles. Iriafen is averaging 17.3 points and 7.5 rebounds per game with a 54 percent shooting percentage. Miles is averaging 18.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game while shooting 55.1 percent from the field. Fudd has not yet made her season debut.
