The WNBA draft lottery 2026 took place on November 23, 2025. The Dallas Wings won the lottery for the second straight year. While Paige Beuckers secured Rookie of the Year, the teams as a whole had one of the worst seasons last year, with a record of 10-34. Having won the lottery now, the Wings have a chance to pair a strong and fresh talent with Paige Bueckers and lead the team to new heights.The teams that came next in the list are the Minnesota Lynx, the Seattle Storm, the Washington Mystics and the Chicago Sky. Even though the list of prospects is not a star-studded one this time, however, some potential athletes could turn the tables for the team. Some of these athletes are Azzi Fudd, Awa Fam, Olivia Miles and Lauren Betts.

The Dallas Wings came first with 42% chances for the No.1 pick. Following up, it was the Minnesota Lynx with 26.1% chances and the Seattle Storm with 16.7% chances. This is the second time the Wings have come on top for the second consecutive time. Now that all these teams are ready for their picks, the list of top prospects is also ready. Lauren Betts is leading the list. The 6-foot-7 UCLA, with her unique footwork and dunk skills, has left a mark in her college career. She averaged 20.5 points, 9.2 rebounds and 2.5 blocks. Next in the list is UConn’s Azzi Fudd. The 5-foot-11 athlete is one of the cleanest shooters. However, the lack of consistency in delivering results due to her health issues is a major disadvantage for the player. Azzi decided to improve her pro-game and had opted for an additional year at UConn. It seems like now the player is ready.Other noted players in the list include Olivia Miles and Awa Fam. Miles is a TCU transfer from Notre Dame. The 5-10 point guard has improved her game as a perimeter shooter. Awa is from Spain and has played since she was 15 years old. Her average stands at 8.7 points and 4.2 rebounds during Spain’s run at the Eurobasket Finals.
