On Saturday, the WNBA featured a preseason showdown between the Indiana Fever and the Atlanta Dream. Fans were looking forward to the matchup between Caitlin Clark and Brittney Griner. However, the supporters didn’t get to see that since Griner sat the entire game after two minutes of action.
Still, Clark remained on the floor and was active for 23 minutes. The former Iowa star dropped 13 points on 45.5% shooting on the floor. The All-Star guard also secured six boards and dished out seven assists.

However, Fever fans weren’t happy with how the game was officiated, especially on fouls involving Clark. Many called out the league for the lack of calls she received despite being physically guarded by Atlanta.

Fans posted evidence on Clark not getting the calls while the Dream asserted physical dominance on the defensive end.
Fans on X took the chance to call out the league.
“It’s frustrating with the WNBA. She never once went to FT line,” a fan said.
“Wasn’t assault but definitely a foul. Even the Atlanta announcer said so,” another fan commented.
“Back to back no calls but they give Clark a tec,” a comment read.

“That no call is wild. She gets free smacks to the face,” a fan posted.
“She’s getting the Steph Curry treatment with those whistles,” a fan on X said.
“Shocking. WNBA refs are still horrendous,” a fan pointed out.
During the game, Clark didn’t get a single call from the referees. However, she was given a technical foul after her reaction to the made basket by Brionna Jones.
The Dream and Fever will meet again, but it will be in the regular season. Their first meeting will be on May 20 in Indiana.
