In an action-filled Tuesday night, the Chicago Sky faced the Washington Mystics for the final game of the 2025 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup. It was a must-see game as two of the young forwards in the league faced off against each other.

Angel Reese had one of the best games of her sophomore season with a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds. Reese was highly efficient from the floor and made seven of her 13 attempts.
Kiki Iriafen had a subtle game with eight points and six rebounds on 37.5% shooting from the field. However, Iriafen and the Mystics came out victorious, 79-72.

During the game, the broadcast filmed an interesting action from Reese against Iriafen. The second-year forward hit the rookie on the face during a fastbreak opportunity for the Mystics.
Fans were caught off guard by what Reese did and called her out on X.

“If you can’t grab your mebound punch someone on the other team,” a fan said.
“That’s the most accurate shot she took all game,” another fan commented.
“She’s afraid Kiki is going to break her doubles run,” one fan said.
“Didn’t even go for the mebound. Shame,” someone else commented.
“Angel ain’t box out—she boxed up. Kiki caught a right straight from SEC highlights to Showtime Boxing,” a comment read.
“That’s a suspension for sure lol,” one fan pointed out.
Iriafen had her revenge late in the game after she outworked Reese on the offensive rebound. The former USC star took the chance and made the easy putback shot to push the lead to 77-72 with 26.1 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
