Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark continues to be the biggest name in women’s basketball today. Along with her popularity, she has been able to live up to the hype, becoming a two-time All-Star in as many seasons in the WNBA.
Clark has averaged 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 1.4 steals per game in two years as a pro so far. She has also shot 40.5% from the field, including 32.9% from deep.

The Fever guard has made history in the process, recording the most points (769) and assists (337) by a WNBA rookie ever.
That being said, it is not a surprise that anything related to Clark draws interest. That much was clear on Tuesday after sports card company Panini announced that it had released a special collectible called “Caitlin Clark Chronicled.”

Panini described the item as a “22-page premium keepsake with incredible photography depicting some of Caitlin Clark’s favorite moments on and off the court from her first two years in the WNBA.” The keepsake also includes eight packs containing four trading cards each.

The problem is that, due to Clark’s popularity, the limited-edition item quickly sold out both on the website and at Target stores where it was released. It led to several complaints from fans, with many needing to buy it off the secondary market at higher prices as a result.
“You need to produce more books Target already out,” a commenter wrote. Another one said, “Looked at Target – gone . Everyone bought it and selling at eBay over $300. Real fans have no chance. Caitlin Clark collectables are gold.”
“I paid more & got it off ebay because I have to have it!” a fan added.

“Sold out already?!? DUDE,” a supporter stated on Instagram.
A fifth poster shared, “Except it’s sold out already… I checked online at 4am on the 14th and scalpers already got them all. Thanks though, I guess.”
“Sooo…tried and can’t seem to find how to buy this. Sold out?” a follower remarked.
It remains to be seen if Panini will release more of the product or other similar limited-edition items. For now, though, it seems fans don’t have any other choice but to check the resale market or wait for the next announcement from the card company.

Regardless, though, it just shows how marketable Clark is.
