The Chicago Sky played the first of their three preseason matches on Friday evening. They faced off against an unusual opponent in an atypical place, as they took on the Brazil National Team at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, which is the home of LSU basketball in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Second-year forward Angel Reese was pumped to be back in her home college gym, and she was honored before the game prior to leading the way for the Sky with a 15-point, 10-rebound double-double. Despite an early charge from Brazil, Chicago ended up coasting to victory with a score of 89 to 62.

Reese worked incredibly hard on her game all summer, hoping to disavow the notions that she was only a good offensive rebounder. She worked on her jump shot at length, and Reese also attempted to improve every other facet of her game as well.
