This is the final full week of basketball games before the All-Star Game, and the team rosters were announced last week.
The WNBA All-Stars will compete against the USWNT, with the Olympic break starting just before the weekend. Looking ahead to next week, games will only be played on Tuesday and Wednesday before the All-Star Weekend, and then the regular season will resume on August 15th. Matchup 10 will span over a month, with six days of games involved.
For this week, there are no games on Monday night, only one game each on Tuesday and Thursday, so make sure to adjust your lineups accordingly.
Reflecting on last week, Kelsey Plum has been performing well. She is shooting 41.6% from the field this season, compared to 47.5% last season. This improvement can be attributed to Chelsea Gray’s return to the lineup, providing Plum with better scoring opportunities. Plum averaged 26.5 points per game while shooting 55.7% from the field across four games last week, and the Aces have a 7-1 record since Gray’s return, currently ranked fifth in the league.
Chennedy Carter is also in excellent form, scoring at least 20 points in five of her last six games. She had a season-high 33 points against Seattle last week and ranks 14th in the league in points per game despite starting in only eight games.
