It was an exciting Saturday for WNBA fans amid all the preseason action.
No. 1 overall pick Paige Bueckers took center stage as the Dallas Wings hosted Japanese side Toyota Antelopes at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.

Bueckers, who went for 10 points, four rebounds and one assist in her preseason debut, will look to make amends after suffering a 112-78 blowout loss against the Las Vegas Aces in her first WNBA preseason contest.
There was already a lot of hype surrounding Bueckers heading into Saturday’s game and the league stoked the fire even more with their two-word message for the former UConn star.
“Preseason finale,” the WNBA wrote.
The league shared a couple of photos of Bueckers warming up before Saturday’s much-anticipated contest, and the 23-year-old guard was seen with a bit of a smile on her face ahead of the preseason matchup.

Bueckers will want to make a statement in this one as the Wings play in their last warmup game before the season officially gets underway.

Bueckers and Co. kick things off on May 16 with a matchup against Napheesa Collier and the Minnesota Lynx. Dallas immediately gets a tough test in their season opener as they face off against a Lynx side that barely missed out on a championship this past season.
Then again, there’s no better way for Bueckers to send a strong message in her debut than by taking down one of the top teams in the league. The 6-foot guard will be looking to do just that as she hopes to start her professional career on a high note. Â
