There’s also no denying, however, that the All-Star Weekend would have made a bigger bang if Caitlin Clark wasn’t forced to pull out of the event. The reigning Rookie of the Year had to withdraw from both the 3-Point Contest and the All-Star Game after re-aggravating her groin just days before the much-anticipated weekend — an injury that currently leaves the 23-year-old with no timetable for her return.
WNBA Icon Candace Parker Gets Brutally Honest on All-Star Game
Three-time WNBA champion Candace Parker is starting a podcast with Clark’s Fever teammate, Aliyah Boston. The first episode of the brand new “Post Moves” podcast drops on Wednesday, and the show has already been releasing teasers ahead of the highly anticipated launch date.

On Tuesday, the podcast posted a clip of Parker sharing her honest thoughts on the recently concluded All-Star Game where she did not hold back.
“The game, I’m going to be honest with you, Aliyah, it was awful,” Parker stated.
Boston, who made her third consecutive All-Star appearance in the recently concluded festivities, was taken aback by her co-host’s candid statement. Parker did not back down, though, as she expressed how she simply did not enjoy this year’s edition of the All-Star Game.

The two-time WNBA MVP has taken part in no less than seven All-Star Games during her time, so there’s no denying that Parker is an authority in this matter. Certainly, her opinion matters.
The fact that viewership of the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game dropped by a whopping 36% compared to last year’s iteration, with Clark in the mix, supports Parker’s strong take.
