With training camp underway for the Minnesota Lynx and the rest of the WNBA, we are nearing the start of preseason action in early May and the start of the 2025 regular season on May 16.
With that arrival, we have now learned where fans will be able to tune into watch or listen to the Lynx throughout the summer with Tuesday’s announcement of the Lynx 2025 Broadcast Schedule.
TV Broadcasts
Minnesota announced that FanDuel Sports Network will continue to carry local TV broadcasts in 2025, airing 30 regular season games and both preseason games (for the first time ever). The Lynx will also make 21 appearances on national TV across WNBA broadcast partners.
“As we enter into another year of our partnership with FanDuel Sports Network, we are thrilled to see added coverage of the Lynx preseason and regular season games,” Timberwolves and Lynx Chief Operating Officer Ryan Tanke said via a statement issued by the team.
“As women’s sports, and especially women’s basketball, continues to experience momentous growth, we are proud to further expand and engage with fans through our programming,” Tanke continued. “The increased coverage is a testament to the accelerating demand for Lynx basketball.”
The FanDuel Sports Network broadcasts will once again be spearheaded by the talented duo of Marney Gellner and Lea B. Olsen as fans have been used to tuning into. Gellner will resume play-by-play duties for her 15th season, while Olsen will return for her 17th season as analyst.
Radio Broadcasts
Along with TV, the Lynx will return to the airwaves for all 44 regular season games in 2025 with a new — yet familiar — face serving as the voice of the Lynx.
Minnesota will have every game broadcast on the organization’s flagship radio station, KFAN FM 100.3, with all games exclusively streaming on the iHeartRadio App and the Lynx App.
As for who fans will hear on the broadcasts, that will be Sloane Martin, who was on the Lynx TV broadcasts in 2024. Martin steps in as radio play-by-play announcer in her seventh overall season with the Lynx and returns to the booth for the first time since 2019.
Martin has extensive experience in the broadcast industry, assisting with broadcast coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics as well as collegiate women’s basketball as part of the Big Ten Network, Fox, FS1 and Peacock.
“We are truly excited to welcome Sloane back to Lynx Radio this season,” Lynx President of Business Operations Carley Knox said via a statement. “She brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and passion for the Lynx, as well as the WNBA. We are incredibly lucky to have Sloane be the voice of the Lynx for our 2025 season.”
The Lynx tip off the preseason on May 6, taking on the Chicago Sky in both preseason contests on May 6 and May 10. The regular season will begin for Minnesota on May 16 with a season-opening showdown against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings in Texas.
