Connecticut Sun News
Confirmed Lineup: Veronica Burton, DiJonai Carrington, DeWanna Bonner, Alyssa Thomas, Brionna Jones
Since starting the season 13-1, the Sun have lost three of their last five games. Bonner leads the team in scoring this season, but Carrington has recently led the charge offensively, averaging 14.4 points per game over the previous 10 outings. Connecticut will need others to step up on that end of the floor versus the Lynx, whose 91.8 Defensive Rating is the league’s best. The Sun beat Minnesota in overtime in their lone matchup this season.
Minnesota Lynx News
Confirmed Lineup: Courtney Williams, Kayla McBride, Bridget Carleton, Napheesa Collier, Alanna Smith
Washington Mystics News
Projected Lineup: Julie Vanloo, Ariel Atkins, Myisha Hines-Allen, Aaliyah Edwards, Stefanie Dolson
Stefanie Dolson (illness) – Questionable
Shakira Austin (hip) – Injured
Brittney Sykes (foot) – Injured
Karlie Samuelson (hand) – Injured
The Mystics remain without three regular starters and could be down a fourth with Dolson uncertain to play. It would be an unfortunate outing to lose her for, as Washington will face the Aces, who enter the contest on a five-game win streak.
The Mystics have played better recently, posting the league’s fourth-best Net Rating (+5.9) over the last five games. However, they’d probably struggle to compete with the Aces’ size sans Dolson, as Aaliyah Edwards and Myisha Hines-Allen would likely be asked to play more center than usual.
Las Vegas Aces News
Projected Lineup: Chelsea Gray, Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young, A’ja Wilson, Kiah Stokes
