The WNBA Commissioner’s Cup begins on Sunday, with the first four matchups on tap. All the teams will be competing for a cash prize pool and a trophy while competing in games that count in the standings. Between June 1 and June 17, Eastern Conference teams and Western Conference teams will be playing against one another within their respective conferences, and then the team from each conference with the best record over that stretch will play for the Cup championship on July 1.Â
The Connecticut Sun and New York Liberty get the festivities started at 3 p.m. ET. Two more contests tip at 6 p.m. ET, with the Phoenix Mercury taking on the Los Angeles Sparks and the Las Vegas Aces squaring off against the Seattle Storm. Finally, the late game is the Minnesota Lynx battling the Golden State Valkyries at 8:30 p.m. ET.
