Before the contest got underway, the league posted a short video of Sky forward Angel Reese arriving at Wintrust Arena in Chicago wearing an eye-catching outfit. The former LSU Tiger was seen wearing a white and black Chanel shirt, a red pocketbook and a camo-colored skirt.
She accessorized the outfit with a gold watch on one hand and bracelet on the other alongside a leopard print headscarf to cover her hair, which the WNBA couldn’t get enough of.
“Leading the league in boards and serving looks 😮💨,” the post’s caption reads.
Reese leads the league in rebounds per game with 11.7 heading into Chicago’s 12th game of the season. Prior to the Sky’s game against Phoenix, she had also been averaging 11.0 points per game, netting her a double-double stat line.

In Chicago’s last outing against the Washington Mystics, the Sky lost 79-72, although Reese was able to put up a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. However, the 23-year-old forward committed seven turnovers, which prevented her team from gaining any sort of momentum.

Despite the disappointing statline, she recently recorded her first career triple-double by ending the Sky’s 78-66 triumph over the Connecticut Sun on June 15 with 11 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. She also recorded three blocks and two steals by the end of her team’s third victory of the season.
The Sky-Mercury game tipped off at 1 p.m. ET on ABC from Wintrust Arena.
