There is one more night of games left in the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup, and 12 of the 13 teams in the league will be playing to decide who will represent the Eastern and Western Conferences.
Here are the Commissioner’s Cup standings entering Tuesday’s games:
Eastern Conference
Atlanta Dream — 3-1, (+62)
Indiana Fever — 3-1, (+31)
New York Liberty — 3-1, (+61)
Washington Mystics — 1-3, (-13)
Chicago Sky — 1-3, (-52)
Connecticut Sun — 1-3, (-89)
Western Conference
Minnesota Lynx — 4-1, (+63)
Phoenix Mercury — 4-2, -(2)
Golden State Valkyries — 3-2, (+21)
Seattle Storm — 3-2, (+17)
Los Angeles Sparks — 2-3, (-14)
Las Vegas Aces — 2-3, (-32)
Dallas Wings — 0-5, (-53)
Teams that can win the East
The Dream, Fever, and Liberty all have the same record, so any of the three could emerge as No. 1 out of the Eastern Conference.
Atlanta has the easiest route, given that they own the tiebreaker over Indiana and can secure the top spot by beating New York on Tuesday. If Atlanta loses to the Liberty, their Commissioner’s Cup title hopes will end here.
For the Liberty to advance back to the championship game, they need a win over the Dream and for the Fever to lose against the Sun. Indiana needs to win their game against Connecticut, and then if New York beats Atlanta, they’ll earn the spot in the Commissioner’s Cup final.
The Mystics, Sky and Sun are all eliminated and are only focused on improving their regular-season record.
Teams that can win the West
The outlook out West is much simpler, as just the Lynx and Storm are contending for the top spot.
Minnesota needs a win over Las Vegas or Seattle to lose against Los Angeles to advance. For the Storm, it’s the opposite scenario. Seattle needs to win on the road against the Sparks, and if the Lynx lose to the Aces, they’ll climb up to No. 1 in the West.
Here is a brief look at every matchup happening on Tuesday:
Sun at Fever (7 p.m. ET, NBATV)
The Fever need the win to keep their Commissioner’s Cup hopes alive. With Caitlin Clark back and coming off a career night, expect them to take care of business. For Connecticut to have any chance of winning, they’ll need Marina Mabrey and Tina Charles to have huge games.
Dream at Liberty (7 p.m. ET, League Pass)
This game will have a huge impact on who will win the East. Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart have been dominant this year as the Liberty have started the season 9-1. Atlanta has been equally impressive with an 8-3 record, and with Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard and Brionna Jones as their “Big 3,” the Dream have the roster to beat the Liberty.
You know what they say about defense…
Shoutout to the squad for being the #1 defensively rated team in the W (88.1). Since 2023 the Libs have held opponents to 70 or less 24 times pic.twitter.com/FB186072WE

Mystics at Sky (8 p.m. ET, League Pass)
Neither team cares about the Commissioner’s Cup, so this game is more about the Sky trying to start a winning streak and the Mystics trying to bounce back after an ugly 89-56 loss to the Dream on Sunday.
Valkyries at Wings (8 p.m. ET, League Pass)
Dallas has had a rough start to the year with just one win in 12 games. Golden State has been a pleasant surprise as they sit at .500 on the year. If the Valkyries are a legitimate playoff contender, these are the kinds of games they need to win.
Aces at Lynx (8 p.m. ET, League Pass)
Minnesota just needs a victory to win the Western Conference’s spot, so expect them to be on top of their game against Las Vegas at home. With A’ja Wilson still out for the Aces, the Lynx should be able to take care of business.
Storm at Sparks (10 p.m. ET, NBA TV)
The final game of the Commissioner’s Cup could very well decide the West if Vegas surprises Minnesota and Seattle can beat Los Angeles. The Sparks will be at home, but with Kelsey Plum ruled out, the Storm should be able to get the job done.
