Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro is gaining attention for his new, more muscular physique.
While many are focusing on his increased muscle mass, the WNBA’s newest superstar was more interested in Herro’s outfit. Recently, he posted a series of photos on Instagram that caught the attention of Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark.
In the last photo, Herro was wearing an Iowa Hawkeyes No. 22 jersey, the same uniform Clark wore in college when she became one of the most popular players in women’s basketball history.
Clark commented on the post, stating: “Last slide 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.”
Herro is currently in a redemption offseason. Despite a strong regular season, some were disappointed with his playoff performance against the Boston Celtics in the first round. With key players like Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier out with injuries, Herro struggled when the team needed him most.
During the five-game series loss to the Celtics, Herro averaged 16.8 points, 5.4 assists, and 3.6 rebounds. He shot poorly in most games, raising questions about his abilities once again.
With Butler and Rozier back in good health, Herro has another chance to prove himself. Just two seasons ago, he won the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award. The Heat are hopeful that he can return to that form and help them become contenders once more.
