BELLEAIR — Caitlin Clark made an appearance on the LPGA Tour on Wednesday, showcasing her golf skills and drawing a large crowd to the pro-am event. The basketball star played nine holes alongside Nelly Korda, the top-ranked player in women’s golf, and later played the back nine with Annika Sorenstam, host of The Annika tournament.
During a brief interview with Golf Channel, Clark expressed admiration for Korda’s talent, stating, “I’ve watched, and she’s amazing. But golf is hard.”
The gallery gathered to watch Clark play, and she graciously signed autographs for numerous fans afterward. Clark, who has an endorsement deal with Gainbridge, also participated in a women’s leadership summit hosted by the sponsor.
Korda, who hails from a family of elite athletes, commended Clark’s influence on sports and expressed joy at spending time with her on the course.
Clark enjoys playing golf as a getaway and has participated in pro-ams before. Korda praised Clark’s talent and composure on the course, noting her limited practice due to other commitments.
