Fans of the Kansas City Chiefs can be found all around the world, spanning generations. The recent success of stars like Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce has attracted new members to the Chiefs Kingdom as the team aims for a Super Bowl three-peat.
On the most recent episode of the New Heights podcast, WNBA star Caitlin Clark joined the Kelce brothers to share her long-standing Chiefs fandom, which began in her childhood and was passed down through her family.
“I had family in Kansas City, and I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, which is only three hours away from Kansas City,” Clark explained. “So the Chiefs were the closest NFL team; my dad was a big Chiefs fan. People may think I jumped on the bandwagon, but I’ve been a fan since before Patrick (Mahomes) and Travis. We’ve been loyal supporters from the start.”
The 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, Clark has helped increase interest in the league and gained national recognition as a basketball star. She also revealed her admiration for Taylor Swift and attending ‘The Eras Tour,’ although she has yet to experience a Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium.
